Case Study · Meta Ads · Med Spa · Atlanta
How an Atlanta med spa transformed cost per hair-loss consult booking on Meta.
A high-ticket aesthetic category rebuilt around proper funnel segmentation, creative that addresses the hair-loss shame tax, and tracking tied to actual revenue — not form fills.

The Challenge
A high-ticket aesthetic service with a shame-tax problem.
The med spa offered a suite of aesthetic services, but their most lucrative treatment — hair loss restoration — was underperforming in paid acquisition. The problem wasn't the treatment, the pricing, or the market. It was the communication challenge of the category itself: hair loss is a shame-tax product. Prospects don't admit to it publicly, don't engage with obvious ads, and often won't fill out a form that labels them as having the problem.
Previous ad campaigns had been generic aesthetic-spa branding — "come visit our beautiful location" — which drove impressions but not consult bookings for the one treatment that actually mattered to the business economics.
What We Did
Match creative to the real buyer psychology. Build a funnel the prospect can enter without feeling exposed.
First, creative built around the authentic prospect journey: discreet hooks ("If you've been quietly researching hair restoration options..."), practitioner-led educational content, testimonial videos from real patients who were willing to share their story. The ads felt like a conversation with a trusted provider — not a sales pitch.
Second, a funnel designed for low-commitment entry: a 2-minute informational quiz ("Which hair loss stage are you in?") that qualified prospects without requiring a public commitment. The quiz output was a personalized consultation booking link. Third, proper CAPI + CRM integration so bidding optimized against booked consults, not quiz completions — which prevented Meta from chasing cheap-but-low-intent leads.
The Result
Hair loss consult bookings transformed. The clinic's highest-margin service became its most reliable Meta channel.
The hair-loss consultation funnel went from an unreliable, high-CPL side campaign to the practice's most consistent source of booked high-ticket consultations. The shame-tax category became accessible because the creative, the funnel, and the targeting were built around how the real prospect actually behaves — not how a generic aesthetic spa marketing playbook assumes they behave.
The deeper lesson: for sensitive high-ticket aesthetic services, the thing holding paid media back usually isn't the ad spend — it's the mismatch between how the brand talks and how the real customer thinks about their own problem.
